Episode 3 of the Black and Sexy TV docu-series YELLOW drives off course from where the previous episode ends ,and begins in ..a tanning bed? Yes, a tanning salon where we see the new golden hued Austen Jaye ! According to the receptionist many light skinned superstars seem to frequent the establishment to catch some artificial rays ,and deepen their melanin. Crossing paths with women from his past ,and characters features from other Black and Sexy TV series’, leaves Austen a bit perturbed about a particular scorned women’s perception of him.
This episode expounds on Austin’s demeanor towards women ,and posed questions like ,”is Austen not enough for black women ,and should Austen consider dating white women?” Personally I am raising a slight eyebrow in the direction of this episode where I see points exaggerated for cunning ,comedic moments. Nevertheless, I am inquisitive about YELLOW exposing those misconceptions of the light skinned male ,and elaborating more on Austen’s true character.
Are light skinned men now tanning? Should Austen date white women? Is Austen to blame for his misfortunes in dating? Conclude your own theories ,view Episode 3 ,and the new issues that Austen must tackle.
